Sweet answers, minus the fuss!
Ordering a cake shouldn't feel complicated. Here are the things y'all ask me most, all in one spot!
The Basics
How do I request a cake or treat quote?
Head to my Order Online page and fill out the inquiry form. Include your date, number of servings, design ideas, and any inspiration photos. If you see a cake you love in my gallery, send its reference number too!
How much does a custom order cost?
Every design is different, so pricing depends on the size, details, and time involved. Order minimums may apply. I'll confirm your options and pricing after I review your request.
How far ahead should I order?
As early as you can! I'm a hobby cake artist and only take a limited number of orders. Last-minute requests are welcome, but availability isn't guaranteed.
Do you have a bakery storefront?
Nope! Sprinkle Me Silly is my home-based creative hobby, not a walk-in bakery. Orders are by request and confirmed in advance.
What's the best way to reach Heather?
For a new quote, use the order form. For other questions, email me or text (901) 443-8913. I aim to reply within 2 business days.
Orders & Payments
Does sending an inquiry reserve my date?
Not just yet! I need to review your request and confirm availability first. Your date isn't booked until I've approved the order and received the required payment.
How and when do I pay?
You'll receive an invoice with the payment instructions and amount due. Payment is due when you receive your invoice. Unpaid invoices don't reserve dates, and I don't accept checks. Please check the event date, flavors, and design details before paying.
Can I change my order or event date?
Please reach out as soon as possible. Small design changes or date changes may be possible, but they depend on my schedule and how much work has already been done. Changes aren't guaranteed.
What happens if I cancel?
Payments for customer cancellations are nonrefundable. Instead, the amount you've paid becomes a credit for a future Sprinkle Me Silly order, subject to availability. Credits expire 1 year after they're issued.
What if Heather needs to cancel?
If illness, an emergency, or severe weather means I can't fulfill your order, I'll let you know as soon as possible. You'll be offered a full refund or a credit valid for 1 year.
What if there's an issue with my order?
Message me as soon as you notice a problem, ideally with photos and within 24 hours of your event, so I can review what happened and help.
Cakes & Cake Care
Can you make a cake from an inspiration photo?
Absolutely! Send your pictures and ideas through my inquiry form. I'll create my own handmade version, so small differences in colors, decorations, and details are normal.
How do I know what size cake to order?
Tell me how many people you're serving, and I'll help you choose a size that works with your design and budget. Serving sizes can vary depending on how the cake is cut.
Do you offer delivery or shipping?
Delivery may be available depending on your date and location; ask when you send your inquiry and I'll confirm any fee. I don't ship cakes or treats.
What if I'm running late for pickup?
Please text me right away. Pickups are scheduled around other commitments, so I may not be able to wait or hold an order after the agreed time.
What's the safest way to transport and store my cake?
Keep your cake flat, cool, and out of direct sunlight. Drive carefully and head straight to your destination. Keep it boxed and refrigerated as instructed, then take it out about an hour before serving, if appropriate for the cake. After pickup or delivery, safe handling is the customer's responsibility.
Are cakes made in an allergen-free kitchen?
No. My home kitchen is not allergen-free. Cakes and treats may contain or come into contact with milk, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, or tree nuts. Tell me about allergies before ordering; I can't guarantee allergen-free products.
Are there dowels or decorations I need to remove?
Some cakes have internal supports or nonedible decorations such as dowels, plastic pieces, or floral wire. Please remove these carefully before cutting or serving, and keep them away from children.
Flavors & Treats
Where can I see the available flavors?
Take a peek at my Flavor Shop for cakes, cupcakes, marbled options, and fillings. Have something specific in mind? Ask me about it when you inquire.
Can I choose different flavors?
For a tiered cake, you can typically choose one flavor per tier. Cupcakes are usually one flavor per dozen; splitting a dozen into two flavors may have an extra charge.
Do you make custom cake pops?
Yes! Cake pops can be decorated for your theme. They're usually about 1.5 inches across, individually wrapped, and made with one cake flavor per dozen. Custom designs are quoted individually.
Is fondant edible?
My marshmallow-based fondant is edible, although you're welcome to peel it off. Just remember that cake supports and some decorative accessories are not edible.
Do you offer sugar-free cakes?
Not at this time. Feel free to ask about a specific flavor or ingredient, but I can't guarantee special-diet or allergen-free options.
Can you do edible prints, dummy cakes, or wedding tastings?
Edible printed designs and display-only dummy cakes may be options, depending on the project. Wedding tastings may also be arranged by request. Send me the details and I'll let you know what's available.
